Every WhatsApp number runs in its own isolated session. A connection URL can only ever reach the one number it was created for, and your assistant never chooses which session it talks to.
- Connection URLs are stored hashed and shown only once
- Revoke or rotate a URL at any time
- Assistants are asked to confirm before sending or deleting

Which assistants are supported?
ChatGPT, Claude (web and desktop), Claude Code and Codex, plus any other client that supports remote MCP servers.
Is this the official WhatsApp API?
No. Chatlink links to WhatsApp as a companion device, the same way WhatsApp Web does. Use it for normal conversations; WhatsApp may restrict numbers that send spam or bulk messages.
Can I connect more than one number?
Yes. Link as many numbers as you need. Each one gets its own private connection URL.
What do you store?
Your account details, your tool settings, and a log of which tools were used and when. Messages are read live from your linked WhatsApp session when your assistant asks for them.
How do I disconnect?
Unlink a number from your dashboard, or remove the linked device from WhatsApp on your phone. Either one stops access immediately.
